Frequently Asked Questions

  • A referral from your pediatrician is usually not required for a PPO plan, though most HMO plans will request one. We are currently in-network with Blue Shield of California and most UCLA Medical Group HMO plans. We are also contracted with the Westside Regional Center’s Early Intervention program. For all other insurance plans, we are out-of-network, but a superbill can be provided upon request to help with reimbursement.

  • Our clinic primarily serves infants, toddlers, and school-aged children, with services tailored to early childhood and developmental needs. As children reach their late-teen years, their goals often shift toward functional life skills and community participation. When that time comes, we work closely with families to support a smooth transition to appropriate community-based services.

  • Your child will receive 45 minutes of dedicated therapy time within a 60-minute appointment slot. The final 15 minutes are reserved for transitioning, debriefing and providing parent education, and therapist documentation.

  • All therapy services are primarily provided in our clinic. School visits may be available on a limited basis depending on the school location and therapist availability. We also offer teletherapy when it is clinically appropriate and a good fit for the child and family.

  • We request at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. This helps us accommodate other families and ensure continuity of care.
