Emily Minkow

MS, CCC-SLP, MT-BC - Lead Speech-Language Pathologist

Emily is both a speech-language pathologist and a board-certified music therapist. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Yeshiva University in New York and Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy with a minor in Psychology from The University of Miami in Florida. Emily was the recipient of the “Academic Key of Excellence” at Yeshiva University’s Katz School of Science and Health. Emily recently was awarded with the Distinguished Early Career Professional (ECP) Certificate by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)! Emily has had a wide array of clinical experiences across the lifespan serving patients from infancy to adulthood. Prior to working in private practice, Emily worked for a public school system in metro Atlanta as an IEP service provider for children aged 3-21. Along with direct patient care, Emily enjoys collaborating with family members and allied healthcare professionals to help clients achieve their full potential in all contexts. 

Emily is passionate about working with children who are Gestalt Language Processors (GLP) and is certified in Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) through Meaningful Speech. She also is a certified provider of More than Words through the Hanen Center and is trained in PROMPT Level I technique. Emily has completed Tera Sumpter’s Seeds of Learning Executive Function Roots course as well. In addition to treating our clients directly, Emily serves as the Lead speech-language pathologist, supervising Clinical Fellows as they complete their licensure requirements and providing mentorship to the speech team and staff as a whole.

Emily’s hobbies include: traveling, hiking, cooking and baking new recipes!
