Miriam Ohana
Miriam is a licensed speech-language pathologist dedicated to supporting children’s communication development with a warm and nurturing therapeutic approach. Miriam earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Northridge. With extensive experience evaluating and treating children aged 18 months to 18 years, Miriam’s expertise includes early intervention, articulation and phonological disorders, language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, and social skills. In addition to providing direct client care, Miriam has supervised Clinical Fellows through their licensure process and mentored graduate students. She is trained in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) and Oral Placement Therapy, and was a certified provider of More Than Words through the Hanen Centre. Before her speech therapy career, Miriam worked as a special education assistant in the Beverly Hills Unified School district for 6 years and taught English in Madrid for a year, sparking her passion for helping children thrive!
Miriam’s hobbies include: Hiking, travel, going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, all things Harry Potter
